How to be Saved

HOW TO BE SAVED AND KNOW IT

The bible says you can be saved and know it.

1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

There are four things you must know in order to be saved:

First: You must realize you are a sinner.

Romans 3:10 There is no one righteous, not even one.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Second: You must realize there is a price for sin.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

Third: You must realize Jesus died to pay that price for you.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us.

Fourth: You must receive that payment on His terms.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no man can boast.

To receive Him you must call upon Him.

Romans 10:9,10 & 13 That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

If you are willing to call on Jesus, believing in your heart that you are a sinner that needs to be saved by His power, He is willing to save you. If you will pray from your heart and mean it, He will save you.

Your prayer can be as simple as something like this:

Dear Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner, and that I deserve to go to hell, but right now I ask you to forgive my sins, save my soul, become the Lord of my life.

Thank you for saving me Jesus!

Amen
